After two demos and four albums between 1994 and 2007, the label Metal on Metal finally allowed CATCH 22 pushing just over the borders of the Underground for this talented group of Ohio.
I have already reviewed Soulreaper Vol 1 and I warned you right away, this double CD is not the 2008 volume 2 ... It's just work full Soulreaper vol 1 in its 22 original tracks in order to better understand this concept album.
If you have the vol 1 know that it contains almost the best songs, this 2008 CD has a real interest in that if you are a fan of the group. At this point you will find this double CD not only the words of 22 titles but eleven new titles in the same lineage as those of volume 1.

If you do not already know this, know that the band are a mixture of ICED EARTH, ANNIHILATOR, METAL CHURCH (mid 90's) METALLICA and (Black Album). The bass is very present in the compositions and moods rather dark, but the melodies are included.

CATCH 22 is the kind of group which in any case will not leave indifferent, talented musicians and this is also the personality. One group to listen carefully to the early times to return to his world of music.
