This group and this album is simply stunning! It openly claiming a Satanist philosophy and boasting a scenic look very bloody, the Batavian of DEVIL’S BLOOD have yet musically unrelated to the black metal. Not more than Time of No Time Evermoreof the artwork, very typical stoner and psyche, should mislead you. We are dealing with an absolutely perfect synthesis of elements hard rock and heavy metal falling within the 80 or 70. No ultra-greasy riffs, but the guitars that send rhythmic dry, alternate with passages of acoustic or clean sound with the key solos clear, well constructed and melodic first. No voice but hate a singer who moves between two registers, one medium hot enough, the other perched above the KING DIAMOND), his vocal lines proving very systematically constructed, highly readable and clear. The compositions, sometimes shorter, sometimes much longer (Anti Cosmik Magick peaks at over eleven minutes), contain all structures and melodies that make them memorable and irreparably necessarily attractive. Especially, the general atmosphere is very oppressive, even lyrical, but the group has used too many noises or heavy atmosphere of doom. The song Christ or Cocaine (this song!) Illustrates perfectly the formula is built around a small and simple riff sec to Princess of the Dawn ofACCEPT, placed on a binary rhythm to be hypnotic and the singer constantly interweaves his two books . The ingredients are simple but the group manages to create a climate almost sinister. How murky when we use elements so bright? That's the magic of DEVIL’S BLOOD, is his genius. Buy essential for all true lovers of hard and heavy as it is simply one of the best albums of 2009.

City : gentilly	Bon, pour ma part rien de transcendant dans cet album, effectivement le mélange Flower/metal est présent , la chanteuse m'énerve un peu, pourquoi elle chante loin du micro comme ça, un écho permanent c'est un peu fatiguant... La rythmique même si elle ne fait pas penser à Black sabbath à quand même quelques influences d'ailleurs par certains moments entre rythmique et solo, j'avais l'impression d'écouter du Witchfinder general, le son de la gratte m'a même fait penser au 1er Mystery Blue ( je sais je vais loin ) "Christ or cocaine" fait penser à du lana lane seventies et le solo est très bon. le seul morceau que j'ai trouver interessant est le dernier morceau "The anti kosmic magik", et malgré sa durée (+ de 10 minutes) le morceau m'a bien embarqué. And it lets wait until the next album and hypothetical PAGAN ALTAR!

City : NEVERS	J'adore ce groupe. Lorsque je les ai vu à PENTAGRAM / TROUBLE c'est le groupe qui m'a le plus fait vibrer. Ils étaient tous peinturluré de sang ! La chanteuse reste immobile, comme possédée. Impressionnant oui ! Comment by Alain : I also recommend the mini-lp Come Reap released before the album. It is found easily on the site of Van records or even on Amazon. Good luck for the nightmares.
