Originally, the go out of this casket was foreseen mi January whileOCEAN had to play in head of poster of the Paris Metal France Festival, 4th the name. Because of the closing of the Loco and, especially, because of the too weak number of préventes, this PMFF was canceled… the benefit ofOCEAN was flowed… If the state of the French scene – and interest of the public for our groups – can have of what to discourage artists and organizing, a certainty remains: this casket is beautiful and well there, and, let's say the of entry, the object is essential For any amateur, curious or fan of this group that lives the day in the middle of the years 70.
Story, Live & More content the very discography historic of the group: the first album, God’s Clown, originally gone out in 1977, card of mixing visit of as varied influences as LED ZEPPELIN or KING CRIMSON, unique sung album in English, gone out to the era on the label Crypto. This disc shows a group maitrisant perfectly his art; just as well in the compositions, of a rare effectiveness, that in the sound, much more better adapted that on the preceding album, all is to be preserved. Ocean 2 is a lot of these big moments that were laminated by effectiveness and the gigantic notoriety of another, doubtless more brutal and more vindictive, more " Punk’n’Roll ". Do I need to specify more before? Aristo, A force De Gueuler, Rock’n’Roll, and especially the sublimates rage cry Qu’On Me Laisse Le Temps are timeless songs, or, in any case, titles presenting all that it is necessary to return them as such. This disc had, let's recall it, already is the object of a reissue CD (Axe Killer equally, in 2000) understanding in bonus the four titles in public of the album A Live + B.
This caskets groups together therefore these 4 albums and would not be a must if it did not contain his batch of surprises and of bonus. And there, it is that of the happiness: besides the booklet, gigantic with its 28 pages that are crammed photos, of a biography completes and texts of the albums in French (lack only the words of God’s Clown), which was at the origin the face B of A Live here is completely modified. Figure, hang you, this is a precious document, 7 recorded pieces at the time of the turn 81 whileOCEAN opened for IRON MAIDEN on the Killers Tour. Of course, the bands, damaged, underwent the outrages of the time, the sound is worn on the three first titles, but what was saved is an inestimable historic testimony so one feels the implication and the determination of the musicians facing this border of a thousand spectators. Egalement, cherry on the cake, Ze cherry on ze pie, one finds the return of Ton Dernier Acte that the group had recorded for the Tribute To Trust in 2000 and, henceforth untraceable, Juste Au Bout Du Désert, the last piece recorded by Robert BELMONTE and Georges BODOSSIAN, the founding guitarist and historic member of this formation out norms. At last, on the two Lps eponyms one finds alternate versions " rough mix ", truly interesting for the collectors, surprising for the listener, of already known titles.
Axe Killer favors us therefore with this superb casket (in his content and his conception) of an exceptional one, although late, gift of Christmas. If you want to revive the traffic that existed there is again little between the Laponie and France, this is the ideal moment...
