Approximate translation of the review
The career of legendary Canadian trio power TRIUMPH Frontiers Recordsis revived through. To resurface the past
groups whose quality is unquestionable is a great marketing idea. But not
! For
to Hard-Rock more young fans of glitter, the discovery of TRIUMPH can not but arouse the enthusiasm. And like the
titles selected here, 13 out of 10 studio albums remixed by Richard CHYCKI (a reference for studio mixing and recording), the sound took a little bit of youth rather pleasant.
Formed in 1975 to Toronto, TRIUMPH practice since its inception a flamboyant Hard-Rock melodic and tinged with the Progressive Rock scene.
The group consists of 3 amazing musicians, Gil MOORE, drums and vocals, Mike
LEVINE
, Rik EMMETTand bass and keyboards, guitars and vocals.
I do not know all the studio albums the group but 4 of my "CD collection" fills me with happiness every time.
live In Concert The released in 1995 is a masterpiece and shows the extent of the talent of this training.
Rick EMMETT's voice, instantly recognizable with its 1000 treble is a treat! Its
guitar solos leave me admiringly.
short, a major group which has experienced a deserved success. (Many will be hits and charts filed in the group will be certified gold or platinum discs (Allied Forces 1981 Never Surrender 1983) on several occasions)
hits That so even if fans will regret missing this or that title.
Headed For Nowhere of Surveillance album (1987), which is a masterpiece of melodic Hard-Rock for me is not presented here.
hits Allied Forces But the (superb), Lay It On Line, Fight The Good Fight etc.. back to life and like a LED ZEPPELLIN (which it is not unreasonable to suggest the excellent I Live For The Week-end), these compositions are part of the heritage of Hard-Rock.
short, you will understand, I'm a fan! Also, a
cover Love Hurts passed the standard of Felice and Boudleaux BRYANT, popularized by NAZARETH in 1975 and sang for the first time in 1960 by EVERLY BROTHERS. Versions of
JOAN JETT, ROY ORBISON, BON JOVI, CHER, PAUL YOUNG, KIM CARNES, HEART, ROD STEWART etc.. are also available.
Or how to live with the writing of a tube, moreover fantastic planet!

Note also that this CD release will be accompanied by a DVD with 11 bonus tracks. And like

TRIUMPH continues to tour, I will not be surprised to see the group return soon with a new album in hand, the last Edge Of Excess (not Rick EMMETT) from 1993.
However, the veterans of (Hard)-Rock (SCORPIONS, PRETTY MAIDS, ASIA, TREAT etc..) Have not finished to surprise and delight.

A good compilation that should prompt you to (re) discover this great band can (hard) othing!
