Approximate translation of the review
Young Brazilian guitarist, but also singer type-setter author, Maycon BIANCHI make us divide through its first album, Alquimia, his technical qualities and d' writing. He is accompanied here by Fabio RUSSI with low, Albino INFANTOZZI with the battery (replaced on scene by Luciano MATUCK) and by Anderson ROSSETTI with the keyboards, like by 2 vocalists, Valeria SILVA and Luis Carlos CONTIERO.
Been useful by a sound and one mix excellent, the 11 d' compositions;Alquimia are an instrumental melody anthology, where dexterity and sincerity l' carry high the hand on the technical and swift demonstration. Lastly, not entirely instrumental, since 3 titles: Coisas que Pintam, Refugio and Sinal, are sung by Maycon, song borrowing its language native and supported by the presence of the 2 vocalists. These 3 titles, with the rather faint tempo and in a somewhat out of date style Hard Rock , are a homage to a group (of Hard Rock) Brazilian of years 70, ROCHA SOLIDA. The vocal service is relatively pleasant, even if we hear well that the song n' is not the strong point of l' artist.
Nettement more convincing are the 8 instrumental titles, where the prints d' abound; one Joe SATRIANI, period Surfing With The Alien / Flying In A Blue Dream (theAlpha Dog, Pollution, or even superb and named well ballades mid tempo Dream and Freedom). With this major influence s' accoquinent instantaneous sound d' one VAN HALEN (Radiation and its sounds of keyboards/guitars very 80' S, j' adore!), even by l' intro of Cross l' inspiration d' one Rudolf SCHENKER accompanied d' a piano, starting a ballade of SCORPIONS ! Thanks to some notes, the continuation of this title then plunges us in l' universe d' one Gary MOORE, more lyric and air qu' electric. Rapid Adrenaline leans rather towards one Métal faster and modern. Interpreted with the acoustic guitar, Origen sharpens our sensitivity.
If l' writing and its execution, the play and the sound of the guitars remain altogether in l' together conventional, l' sound osmosis qu' post Maycon BIANCHI & THE IMAGINARY BAND is perfect. Alquimia is then an authentic, serious and invaluable album, work d' a talented young person artist to be discovered.
