COEXISTENCE

Here is a group which bears its name extremely well. COEXISTENCE, by the magic of the fabric (YouTube), is the meeting of the talented French guitarist Grégory GIRAUDO and the young Swedish singer quite as talented Carl LINDQUIST. Formed in 2008, the group produces a first EP into 2009, Carrion Comfort. Then in 2011, accompanied by Nicolas KASBARIAN (guitars), Florent POULHES (low) and Jérémy VANNEREAU (battery), they propose their first album to us: Flow.

On the 10 titles which l' comprises; album, 4 result from the demonstration. : Carrion Comfort, Twisted Soul, Seize the Day and Layarteb. Titles written by Grégory and Carl, d' an undeniable maturity d' execution, are strongly anchored in one Métal powerful, virile and effective. And with a current Métal Progressif (Web Of Oppression, Unspoken) even Extrême flirtent (all things considered!). The rhythmic one alternates speed, energy, without never being too aggressive, with calmer beaches, more serene. Some breaks disseminated here or there come chahutées the melody lines, quasi constant, qu' apply with brilliance the guitars. Guitars sometimes heavier (Lord Of War), sometimes with the sound plus Heavy. L' writing and the structure of the compositions leaves the place to instrumental developments where the soli are made then rageurs (Flow, Lord Of War). And confer a solid character on l' together. The song, as for him, is simply excellent! In perfect osmosis with the music, Carl is able d' aggressiveness like wisdom, according to l' atmosphere of the moment (Web Of Oppression). A treat! And which insurance. Ballade A Rose To Wither with semi-album (which also enables us to blow!), with its acoustic guitar, is splendid, full d' emotion.
Flow finishes on a title river all in environments and nuances, Akira, of more than 24 minutes, where the group seems to take again and recapitulate all this qu' he proposed to us up to that point, by incorporating a passage violins/keyboards. Passage which takes a somewhat symphonic turn. I think that c' is a musical aspect there that COEXISTENCE should deepen in l' future, because very successful and original.
Been useful by an irreproachable sound and a production, one artwork and one logo neat (Alexandre BONVALOT), this first album free-Swedish, controlled from beginning to end, is a serious success, full with promises for l' future. And a quite beautiful discovery in what relates to me.
