Approximate translation of the review
At the conclusion of a concert, whereas we are on the point of directing us towards the subway, Phil’Em All and me let us cross a strapping man of timid appearance which tightens us one flyer announcing the exit ofAfterlife, its first album. We exchange some words with this determined young man, I leave him my chart and three weeks later I receive the aforementioned album that I hasten to listen.

does the artist announce on his flyer to play of the heavy rock'n'roll and, as of the last intro, it is obvious as it as well draws his influences in the heavy of the great days as in more modern metal, and a delicious melting pot offers to us in which one finds as well of the DIO as of the NIGHTWISH, of the GOTTHARD, the QUEEN or the DREAM THEATER … and if these influences are sometimes obvious (how not to hear Freddy MERCURY out of Love Will Save The World ?), David manages to integrate them into its approach of the music. Besides one feels a great musical education which integrates traditional, metal, jazz or the blues as well as pop or the variety. The album is filled up powerful riffs which airs melancholic persons côtoient, Irish sonorities, ballades… The song of David, moreover, is spread out over a vast pallet: sometimes rock'n'roll or aggressive, David can be also made baritone, tenor or simply pop. A welcome diversity which enables him to be dissociated from step badly of its contemporaries.

If the care taken to the music were the same one for the production and the booklet and if the listening from this Afterlife appears very pleasant surprised, it misses with the unit light something so that this first test finds truly its way and dissociates (very many) other productions. It is not English only the singer controls well better than many other vocalists. Undoubtedly are this some approximations surprising in certain vocal effects (David comes very close to per moment wrong note) which obstruct me more. Undoubtedly, also, is this the large variety of styles which presents to us David SLAME, which results in a scattering starting from the last third? However, the adventure of this first album should result in the near future in a greater musical maturity. Let us recognize however that we have there an artist with the potential more than important. One of those which deserve that they are supported. Because there is not any doubt that another album, more succeeded, will follow in order to confirm this test. It only remains with the singer to find musicians in order to found a true group. Ben here are, but c' is of course! It is that, which misses: the unit d' a true group which advances towards the same objective by creating a true musical cohesion…

Musicalement, c'est très bon, dommage que le chant s'égare trop par moment et soit approximatif parfois.
Comment by metalmp : One met again. There is really matter. To follow, c' is obvious. D' as much as the strapping man s' d' is finally surrounded; a group.
