Socially therapeutic?
Approximate translation of the review
Howling guitars and more than saturated. Rhythmic which mare without slackening. A duet of voices which clash… The music of DEAD TALKING MIND, if it approaches without hesitating of the Death Metal, wants to be nevertheless more subtle.

the group formed to the Puy en Velay (Haute Loire) in 2007 draws its influences as much in the Metal traditional one of METALLICA or SLAYER (obvious on titles like Oxy Moron or Remeber Your Future), of most recent like LAMB OF GOD, than in the traditional one (interesting this approach of the Valkyrie of WAGNER which opens this first album) or in “traditional” styles more, as the acoustic guitar which introduces The Contemplatives or this spirit Eastern than one finds on Near To Life Near To Death. The result is a kind of brothel anarchistic in which couple themselves (a minimum for a brothel!) various elements of an auditive puzzle from where these influences dominated by one are detached Thrash Death brutal and without concession.

DEAD TALKING MIND (the direction of this patronym will be necessary to explain me, I have evil to determine the concept) is thus detached from the Death bourrin to try to better explore other musical horizons, very often quite as fast. Or almost, because Remember Your Future is, out of Social Therapy, the finest piece, and, in my opinion, most interesting of the album. Starting quietly, the song goes up imperceptibly in power, and there, DEAD TALKING MIND involves me in its wake. Without I not tiring myself. This type of moments, which one finds per moments on the two songs referred to above, shows the creative possibilities of DEAD TALKING MIND.

However, the alternation of the voices (clear song of guitarist Jordan and growls of Thomas, the bass player) proved reliable within various formations, BLACK BOMB A, for France, at the head, and thus do not have anything original. The difficulty that I meet however reside in my incomprehension of the English words… This clear song frustrates me (nobody seeks to include/understand the direction of the “growlés” words, isn't this?) because I only distinguish not enough things…

Incontestably, the four have in heart to show their control of the musical thing. DEAD TALKING MIND watch all extent of its knowledge to make, sometimes with the detriment simplicity of a guiding line, a simple governing idea of approach. The guitars are if saturated that I come from there to ask me the underhand question: “but does that hide what, this supersaturation? ” Because it seems to me that DEAD TALKING MIND confuses sometimes, as on Paralyzed, speed and precipitation and lack per moments of precision. One returns from there to the auditive brothel mentioned above…

Notons, however, that the jerked amateurs of riffs , of syncopated rates/rhythms will find with Social Therapy what to appease their thirst for decibels. That remains a little too extreme for me.
