WILLOW is a group of melodic instrumental metal that is currently preparing its third album, the first being New Dayreleased in 2002. Composed of several talented musicians, WILLOW is directed skillfully by to Loïc LEMPEREUR predestined name! Loïc played in PENUMBRA and has an impressive (I will let you visit his home page). W This booklet has but sober enough (for I was reminded of an instrumental album) and "we feel the professional side of the group. The program no fewer than eleven tracks long and a little interlude, all for a period of more than "one hour! Musician friends you will enjoy because the compositions are processed, treated and convoluted. The only problem for the uninitiated like me, the length of the CD side and a bit repetitive on the length. M Three titles have really liked, Anthology (yet nearly one-quarter of hour) and its side Arabist full of feeling, L "Ange Gardien (more than six minutes) and Venice II (plus eight minutes). Other securities without being disagreeable lack of "small stuff" that will make them catchy spontaneously. The influences are all Hard Rock 70 "s ( LED ZEPPELIN among others), the Hard Rock 80" s (old SCORPIONS ), the Hard Rock 90 "s (the wave of guitarists called" Heroes, "FRIEDMAN, LEE FERKINS, SATRIANI...) and the Progressive Metal ( DREAM THEATERon top). Everything is well put together but on the length of the "beautiful and pro" has its limits and I "would have preferred a 45-minute album more accessible and palatable. This is my opinion on the correct CD WILLOW of which will remain reserved for amateurs Guitar.
