Among the small jewels (of the crown!!!) of Hard-Rock ultra melody, this first opus ofCROWN OF THORNS fate in 1994.
CROWN OF THORNSis the new group ofJean BEAUVOIR, the multi instrumentalist and American producer.
Jean already sat its reputation since many years (with inter alia the famous THE PLASMATICS), it began its very young career and its good namedhit Feel The Hit for filmCobra already made it tower of planet since 1986.
And then, by combining a career solo plus funky /variety and its projects Hard-Rockand its collaborations,Jean BEAUVOIR, very credit makes party integral of the world music scene.
Its atypical physique, its look and its scenic presence did of him onestar ! The
fans of Hard-Rockultra melody, tendency FM awaited a successor with the chief-d' impatiently; work of 1989 The Awakening Vol. 1 ofVOODOO X!
C' was without counting on the changes of personnel ceaseless of the groups.
VOODOO Xremainder the d' project; an album and Jean cost in 1994 with a new groupCROWN OF THORNSand new musicians and new collaborations.
Of its meeting with l' excel guitarist Micki FREE, Jean has Co-writing of thehits imparables.
groovy Hike It Up and Are You Ready ? (with one zest of rap !Yo Mama !!!) are a formidable example!
Dying For Love and its refrain imparable another!
Secret Jesusis perhaps a tone in lower part and'Till The End, the ballade of end also but a tone in lower part of the Divine one, that remains very all the same high!!!
Let us come to collaborations, Beau HILLjoint with the duet for the title d' opening Crown Of Thorns , Jim VALLANCEfor the hit (my preferred!) The Healerand House Of Love , Paul STANLEYcomes to put its talent at the service ofWinterland and l' excellent production.
Jean and its musicians magnifient also title No You Don'tof THE SWEET , one of the best groups ofglam-rockEnglish of the years 1970.
THE SWEET one is crowned reserve withcovers and names of groups…
Lastly, Jean sign slow " who makes bien" with l' emotion moreover,Standing On The Corner For Ya!
Here, Tony THOMPSON with the battery and percussions andMichael PAIGE with low belong to this great adventure.
Phil ASLEYcomes to record some tablecloths of keyboards on 3 titles, keyboards anecdotic because very discrete.
This Crown Of Thorns is indeed one of the best albums ofHard-Rock USultra melody of all times, one of these albums that j' take along with me on an island…
But good, I will remain at home with l' to listen, because with climate warming, the islands are not any more very sure!
Lastly, note qu' with this album under the arm, CROWN OF THORNSmade us l' honor d' a passage in France for its round and played in a Lyons small room, to theGlob !

City : SAINT-JEAN DE MAURIENNE J'ai été attiré par le nom de ce groupe qui est également celui d'un merveilleux titre de MOTHER LOVE BONE (génial Andrew WOOD, disparu bien trop tôt). En tout cas belle chro pour ce disque apparemment fabuleux
