Approximate translation of the review
The Mystic Technocracy - Season 1 : The Age Of Ignoranceis the first piece of an epic that has in to count 5, declined in seasons. This is before all the work of a fabulous claviériste / singer / composer / producer,Douglas R. DOCKER, having taken for surname DOCKER'S GUILD. It surrounded himself, for this first album, of a group of known and recognized musicians in the environment AOR / Métal Progressif / Rock Progressif: John PAYNE, Göran EDMAN, Tony MILLS and Amanda SOMERVILLE (song), Guthrie GOVANand Jeff WATSON (guitars), Tony FRANKLIN(low), Gregg BISSONETTE andMagnus JACOBSON (battery), as well as Donald R. DOCKER (his brother? saxo and clarinet) and 5 " additional spoken voices" :Silvana MOMIGLIANO, Touria NOURI, Andrea RAMPA ,Janthana RODJALKKHENand Davide RONFETTO. The mix and the sound are, as it is necessary, excellent.

This first season, more or less conceptual and fictionnelle, treats human dégénérescence (tortures, murders, wars and other human neuroses) generated by the 3 monotheistic world-wide religions. Is born of this chaos the mystic technocracy, other form of ready religion to destroy humanity. The texts are not or a load or a pamphlet against the an or the other religion, but a reflection on the madness and the religious fanaticism (said the biography).
Stuffed one to keyboard satiation to the numerous tones, this long one "opera" of science fiction of almost 80 minutes (79' 52 exactly!), divided up in 13 titles, drapes itself in the gold of a Métal / Hard / Rock Progressifchiseled hypermélodique of points Hard (indeed FM) / AOR. And where the shadow tutellaire of A.A. LUCASSEN, of AYREON toSTAR ONE , but also ofEric NORLANDER ( Music Machine- 2003), glides continually with the passing of the compositions, without nevertheless some to take shades, or that these influences strictly are reducers. The artist quotes others influence / references as ELP, DREAM THEATER, GENESIS, YES, ASIA, JOURNEY, DURAN DURAN, David BOWIE and... Jean-Michel JARRE(if if !!!), and even an obscure French group THE ROCKETS (to not to confuse with ROCKET SCIENTISTS of... Eric NORLANDER !). Nevertheless, Douglas D. DOCKERproves here that it knows to write very personal compositions, where the vocal and instrumental melodies wipes every time.

IT IS by a intro of 2 minutes,A Matter of Energy, that opens the album on bottom of sound effects of war. Follows what will constitute the body and the spirit, the progression of this season: a bombardment of sounds of twirling keyboards accompanied of a rhythmic one and of sharpened, energetic, electric guitars, supported by a perfect and powerful song the body sets by persisting and light melodies.
Does continuation The Mystic Technocracy , with his long instrumental absolutely magnificent development, to the borders of a Heavy Métalpowerful and energetic one (epic?). The mastery ofAYREON insinuates themselves strongly here, by the sounds of keyboards and the writing of the composition.
Darwin's Tears, title of 8 minutes more or less shifted in comparison with the body of the album, with this flirting voice with the range and the maniérisme of aSteven WILSON , is all so magic one. This title instills a certain degree of passionate emotion to the body of the work.
Norse Cosmogeny (Part 2) rings very "MétalItalians" in the spirit and the execution (we will forget the first party, that gives way to a long monologue on piano bottom / keyboards) and links with...
Judeo Christian Cosmogony and his short incursion Funky. And always and againAYREON in bottom canvas, constant throughout these 80 minutes! All the same, this title links with...
The Divine Comedy, properly astounding. Beginning on a rhythmic martial one, this title catches fire literally to finish in a totally unbridled firework, a quick carousel and virtuoso of sounds of piano (manner Great Balls Of Fire of Jerry Lee LEWIS) on bottom of Gospel furious one!
Legion Of Aliens , by his trace, his length and its keyboard tones, is a rather gauged title Hard Progressif/ Hard FM.
just as Loving The Alien. We then think about ASIA (keyboard sounds), but also to GPS, among others, by the presence to the song ofJohn PAYNE .
The Gem Of Loveis can be darker, more enigmatic in his form. The clarinet there deposits some grades, and the refrain does itself intoxicating.
Secret The Of DNA is composed from 3 parties: Part 1 , Purple Orband Part 2. Long continuation of more than 11 minutes, where inserts itself a long instrumental beach, she summarizes to her only the whole talent and all the creative energy that to deliver even there his author. Epique, to the finery symphonico-orchestraux, guitars, rhythmic, keyboards and song illuminate this composition purely Métal / Rock Progressif.
Prophecy, instrumental title, doped by repetitive motives keyboards / battery, begins by tones recalling VANGELIS, then follows his road while flirting with the one ofSPOCK'S BEARD .
Black Swansplacement a final point more or less calm to this magnificent album, where the voice ofAmanda SOMMERVILLE coming "to open to women" the atmosphere. This feminine vocal presence, should, to my direction, be do more develop (just as in the albums of that you know now!) in the next seasons that announce themselves already captivating!

even if easily accessible, this first phenomenal, colossal album, in request not less a certain diligence and a number of consequent listen. Who restart to every passage the interest and the pleasure to divide this maelstrom of keyboards and of melodies. And that will find to not at all some to doubt a choice place in your cdthèque , just next to the abundant discography of the Master of the kind, A. A. LUCASSEN !
